Aaron Lewis
February 15, 2025
8:00 PM
Seminole Casino Hotel | 506 S 1st Street, Immokalee, FL
Lewis, the Vermont-born powerhouse first found success with Staind, the 2000s-era hard rockers who injected meditative muscle into an era better known for mindless aggression. But while that band is still very much alive, it was never enough to satisfy Lewis’ creative drive. Embracing his roots to earn a rare second round of success, a series of solo Country projects have led to two No. 1 Billboard Country Album debuts – Town Line (2011) and Sinner (2016) – plus a Platinum collab with heroes George Jones and Charlie Daniels (“Country Boy”), and a Gold-certified Billboard No. 1 with “Am I The Only One” in 2021. Lewis’ 2022 solo album followed suit, with “Frayed at Both Ends” emerging as the best-selling Country album in America, but he never wrote songs for the stats. No matter the sonic setting, Lewis writes and sings to get his truth out and his upcoming album “The Hill” is no different.

We don’t get to see/hear enough of Ralph Leeseburg on our ACMA stage. Don’t miss a rare performance when he opens the show for the Darren Nicholson Band! Ralph has been making music for more than 50 years but it has only been the last 20 that he has set intentions on positive music. A little folksy, a little rootsy, a little bluesy, a little bit of rock’n’roll. And something he likes to call Metaphysical Country. He really likes sharing the vibe and hopes to leave you smiling.

Midland
February 22, 2025
8:00 PM
Seminole Casino Hotel | 506 S 1st Street, Immokalee, FL
Midland have sought to reintroduce the Western plains, Laurel Canyon-cum-Bakersfield and Lone Star juke joints to Country music since coming together at a friend’s wedding over common influences and the need for a return to this sort of post-Urban Cowboy Country. For lead singer/guitarist Mark Wystrach, bassist/vocalist Cameron Duddy and lead guitarist/vocalist Jess Carson, the double platinum hit “Drinkin’ Problem” set the stage for their critically acclaimed “On The Rocks” and No. 1 Billboard Top Country Albums debut “Let It Roll” to unite classic country fans, hipsters and media including Entertainment Weekly, GQ, The Washington Post, Vogue, Esquire, Variety, Rolling Stone Country and NPR. Based in Dripping Springs, Texas, the trio of songwriters who developed their sound at Tornillo, Texas’ storied Sonic Ranch have been building a following that’s sold-out the Houston Rodeo and Livestock Show, packed a multiple-night stand at Ft. Worth’s iconic Billy Bob’s and re-opened North Hollywood’s legendary Palomino Club for one night only. Bringing listeners a resurgence of their thick harmonies, sad melodies, tart lyrics, and steel guitar with their latest album “The Last Resort: Greetings From” (Big Machine Records), the retro-Nuevo trio has grown from bar band to an in-demand headliner who have even put together their own cruise.

Seminole Casino Hotel | 506 S 1st Street, Immokalee, FL
The Temptations, often referred to as “American Music Royalty,” are world-renowned superstars of entertainment, revered for their phenomenal catalog of music and prolific career. The Temptations, throughout the group’s evolution, have produced 53 Billboard Hot 100 Hit singles, including four that became #1 Pop singles: “My Girl,” “I Can’t Get Next to You,” “Just My Imagination,” and “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone.” Additionally, they released 43 Top 10 R&B hit singles, 14 of which were #1 R&B hits, including timeless classics such as “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg,” “Beauty Is Only Skin Deep,” “I Wish It Would Rain,” and songs influenced by their funk/psychedelic soul sound including “Happy People,” and “Shakey Ground.” The group also has 16 #1 R&B Albums. The Temptation’s 60-year history spans both the 20th and 21st centuries and their music transcends generations.

The Four Tops had their first Motown hit, “Baby I Need Your Loving” in 1964, making them stars. Their 1960s track record on the label is indispensable to any retrospective of the decade. “I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch),” a no. 1 R&B and Pop smash in 1965, is one of Motown’s longest-running chart toppers; it was quickly followed by “It’s The Same Old Song” (#2 R&B/#5 pop). Their commercial peak was a romantic trilogy: the #1 “Reach Out I’ll Be There,” “Standing In The Shadows Of Love” (#2 R&B/#6 pop) and “Bernadette” (#3 R&B/#4 pop), an extraordinary run of instant Holland-Dozier-Holland classics. Other top hits include “Ask The Lonely,” “Something About You,” “You Keep Running Away,” covers of “Walk Away Renee” and “If I Were A Carpenter,” “When She Was My Girl,” “It’s All In The Game,” “Still Water (Love)” and “Ain’t No Woman (Like The One I’ve Got).” Attendees must be 21+

Rod Abernethy is a unique blend of an authentic southern folk troubadour, master acoustic guitarist, and award winning songwriter and composer for film, TV and video games and the Overall Grand Prize Winner of the 2021 International Acoustic Music Awards. In 2019 he was the Grand Prize winner of American Songwriter’s Bob Dylan Song Contest. His last album Normal Isn’t Normal Anymore, produced by Grammy nominated producer Neilson Hubbard (Mary Gauthier, Kim Richey, Glen Phillips), received rave reviews from No Depression, American Highways and The Wall Street Journal and was the Top 20 CD of 2021 at No. 11 on the Folk International Folk Charts.

Opening for Rod Abernethy is our own Bill Burkert. Bill was born in Muskegon, Michigan, then moved to Tampa at age 11. Not too long later he got a guitar and the Alan Lomax book of 317 folk songs. A few years later his friend Joe showed him how to play something called “Travis” style. Later on Merle Travis DENIED having anything to do with how Bill plays guitar! Oh, well…Some years later Bill moved to Fort Myers, joined the ACMA, and started writing and singing songs. Bill won the Bob Dylan look alike contest at our recent Bob Night! And was the stand out that night for playing the least known Dylan songs. Thoughtful choices. Beautifully covered!
